AutoAlert Desktop Software Update – V4 released

We continue to work hard on AutoAlert’s desktop. Our software updates ensure you can easily see your vehicles, schedule your jobs and communicate with your employees, customers and subcontractors.

Below is a list of all the updates we have introduced. Keep a check of this page for new developments and please add your own suggestions as to what we can do to make our software even better.

Software updates

January 2014

• We’ve improved our GPS algorithms to predict where your device is in areas of poor GPS coverage
• Settings page page has been updated and made more accessible so its easier to view and update your settings
• You can now turn icon centering on or off on the radar screen
• We’ve done a lot of work to improve the performance of the radar screen. Including an automatic refresh after half an hour to to improve performance especially on Firefox
• You can now close the pop up boxes by clicking anywhere on the map
• Enhancements to the look and feel of the software and improved help and support especially when first signing up
• You can now change the appearance of the jobs form
• You can set the messaging page as your home page
• We’ve added an only transmit when moving command for the portable unit to enable you to simulate some of the features of the installed units

December 2013

• Taken out pop ups on tooltips on touch screens to improve the experience when using tablets
• Messaging updated on desktop to make it easer to see, respond and create messages
• Changes to the tracks report – made more intuitive. Can now select the time and show all the routes between that date and time.
• Added distance for the portable units.
• Show route added to the activity report so you can quickly see the route taken
• Google street view added to pop up box
